E3. CHANGE ENGINE
OIL
- Start the engine and allow it to warm up until the temperature of the coolant reaches
80°C to 90°C.
- Stop the engine and remove the engine oil filler cap.
- Remove the drain plug to drain oil.
 CAUTION
Use care as oil could be hot.
- Install a new drain plug gasket so that it faces in the direction shown in the illustration,
and then tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 39 ±
5 N·m
- Refill with specified quantity of engine oil.
Specified Engine Oil (API classification): SE or higher
Total quantity (Includes volume inside oil filter): 4.3 L
NOTE: - If SE grade engine oil or higher is difficult to obtain, use API classification
SD engine oil.
- SAE 0W-30, and 5W-40 engine oils can only used it they meet ACEA A3 and API SG (or higher)
specification.
- Remove the dipstick from the engine, and check whether or not the engine oil level
is within the range between MAX and MIN.
- Install the engine oil filler cap.
- Start the engine and run it for a few minutes.
- Stop the engine and check the oil level.
