- Before inspection, set the vehicle to the pre-inspection condition.
- Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position.
- Connect a tachometer or connect the MUT-II/III to the diagnosis connector.

- Attach a three-way joint to the vacuum hose between the fuel pressure regulator and the air intake plenum, and connect a vacuum gauge.
- Start the engine and check that idle speed is within the standard valve.
- 750 ± 100 r/min <4G63>
- 700 ± 100 r/min <4G64>
Standard value:
- Check the intake manifold vacuum.
Limit: Minimum 60 kPa
- Turn off the ignition switch.
- Remove the vacuum gauge and the three-way joint, and then connect the vacuum hose.
- Remove the engine tachometer or the MUT-II/III.
