NOTE: - The speed adjusting screw is correctly adjusted at the factory and should not be
removed.
- If the speed adjusting screw should happen to have been removed, carry out speed
adjusting screw adjutment.

| DISASSEMBLY SERVICE POINTS

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR DISASSEBLY
- Do not disassemble the sensor and motor.
- Do not clean the sensor and motor by dipping them into cleaning solvent. Clean them
with shop towel.

THROTTLE BODY DISASSEMBLY
- Do not disassemble the throttle body.
- Check if the vacuum port or passage is clogged. Use compressed air to clean the vacuum
passage.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) INSTALLATION
|

- Install the throttle position sensor to the throttle body as shown in the illustration.
- Turn the throttle position sensor 90 degrees counterclockwise to set it, and tighten
the screws.

- Connect an ohmmeter between terminals 2 (output) and 4 (earth), or between terminals 1
(power) and 2 (output).
Then, make sure that the resistance changes smoothly when the throttle valve is slowly
moved to the fully open position.
