FUNCTION
- The output shaft speed sensor signal used for A/T control is converted into a vehicle speed signal, which is inputted to the engine control system, speedometer, etc.
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Condition
- 2 seconds later after the engine has started up.
- Not in idling speed judging mode.
- Engine speed of 2,000 r/min or more.
- During high load operation.
Judgment Criterion
- Sensor output voltage unchanged for 4 seconds (no pulse signal inputted).
PROBABLE CAUSE
- Failed output shaft speed sensor
- Open/short circuit in output shaft speed sensor circuit or loose connector contact
- Failed engine-A/T-ECU
