O-RING /WATER INLET PIPE INSTALLATION
Replace the O-rings of the water inlet pipe with new ones and wet the peripheries with
water for easy insertion into the water pump and thermostat case.
CAUTION- Never allow any oil or grease to touch the O-rings.
- Clamp the water inlet pipe only after installation of the thermostat case.

Apply a 3 mm diameter bead of FIPG to the surface indicated in the drawing.
Specified sealant:
- Mitsubishi Genuine Part No.MD970389 or equivalent
)
If the engine coolant temperature gauge unit is to be reused, apply the specified sealant
to its threads.
Specified sealant:
- 3M Nut Locking Part No.4171 or equivalent
