INSPECTION
PROCEDURE E-5: The power windows do not work normally by means of the multimode keyless entry
function.
CAUTIONCOMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the power window work normally, the ETACS-ECU may be defective.NOTE:
- When "ECU check" is executed out by using the SWS monitor after operating the transmitter, "OK" is displayed for the power window main switch (power window module) for approximately one minute, and then changed to "NG". However, only "OK" is displayed for the ETACS-ECU.
- When the power windows are closed by means of multimode keyless entry function, "No.C2 PASS DOR AUTO", "No.C6 REAR RH AUTO" and "No.CA REAR LH AUTO" turns from "OFF" to "ON" .
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
- Malfunction of the power window main switch
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
Step 2. ECU check on the SWS monitor
- Ignition switch: OFF
- Operate the multimode function with the keyless entry transmitter.

- P/W MODULE
OK: "OK" are displayed for all the items
Q: Is the check result normal?
"OK" are displayed for all the items:
Go to Step 3
."NG" is displayed on the "ETACS ECU" menu.: Refer to Inspection Procedure A-3 "Communication with the ETACS-ECU is not possible
.""NG" is displayed on the "P/W MODULE" menu.: Refer to Inspection Procedure A-5 "Communication with the power window main switch (power window module) is not possible
