WHEEL BEARING AXIAL PLAY CHECK
  1. For vehicles with drum brake, remove the brake drum.
  1. For vehicles with disc brake, remove the caliper assembly, and suspend the caliper assembly with a wire and remove the brake disc.
           
    1. Fit the dial gauge as shown in the diagram and move the hub in the axial direction to measure the play.
      2. Limit: 0.05 mm
    1. If the play exceeds the limit, the drive shaft nut should be tightened to the specified torque and check the axial play again.
      2. Tightening torque: 245 ± 29 N·m
    1. Replace the wheel bearing if adjustment cannot be made to within the limit. (Refer to GROUP 34-Trailing Arm.)
