SPORT MODE <5A/T>
The sport mode of the W5A51 transmission has the following features.- The steering shift switch is added to improve the shifting operation in the sport mode. The manual shifting is also available by the selector lever operation as before.
- For the downshift operation in the sport mode, there is a specific speed range where downshifting is prohibited (the range above the dotted line in the downshift pattern chart) in each gear in order to prevent over revolution of the engine. The downshift inhibition buzzer is installed to alert a driver that the downshift cannot be performed, if downshift operation is attempted within the range where downshifting is prohibited.
