Inspection Procedure 14: Poor Acceleration
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If acceleration is poor when downshifting occurs while driving, the cause is probably a malfunction of the engine system.
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of engine system
  • Malfunction of the engine-A/T-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Engine system check
Refer to GROUP 13A, Troubleshooting <4G63>, GROUP 13B, Troubleshooting <4G64>, Refer to GROUP 13C, Troubleshooting <4G69>.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES:  Go to Step 2.
NO:  Repair the engine system.
STEP 2. Engine-A/T-ECU replacement
  1. Replace the engine-A/T-ECU.
  1. Test drive the vehicle.
  1. Verify that the condition described by the customer exists.
Q: Does a malfunction take place again?
YES:  Go to Step 1.
NO:  The inspection is complete.
