FUNCTION
- Receives the signal from the output shaft speed sensor used for the A/T control and converts it to the vehicle speed signal, and then inputs it to the engine control system and the speedometer.
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
- After 2 seconds pass from when the engine has completed the starting.
- The engine speed is 2, 500 - 4, 000 r/min.
- Under the high load operation.
Judgment Criterion
- The sensor output voltage remains unchanged for 4 seconds. (The pulse signal is not input.) <Vehicles for Hong kong>
- The sensor output voltage remains unchanged (no pulse signal is inputted) for 2 second.
PROBABLE CAUSE
- Failed output shaft speed sensor
- Open/short circuit, in the output shaft speed sensor circuit or loose connector contact.
- Failed engine-A/T-ECU
